Personal Training Studio at Boxhagenerplatz

This is not a commercial gym. We are a Personal Training Studio with a select client base of people who want to work in a productive and friendly environment on improving themselves in one way or another. There might be some equipment that you've never seen before but don't worry, we're here to show you how to use it.

Private Studio at Boxhagenerplatz

Most people won’t need me to provide a list of things to hate about big commercial gyms. They already have a list of their own.

Some of the big advantages of a private studio are:

  • No waiting for equipment.

  • No mess or looking for missing equipment (e.g. dumbbells lying around or not put back).

  • No audience. You’ll be training with me and maximum one other person.

  • Specialised equipment.

  • Personal and friendly environment. The atmosphere needed to make your training really count is not a hostile gym where everyone is listening to their own music and barely speak to one another.

No Waiting for Machines

In a private gym, there are no peak times where everything is taken. Whenever you train, be it morning or evening, everything you need will be available. No more wondering around looking for the weights you need or changing your program because the equipment you need is being used for the last 20 minutes by someone taking selfies for their Instagram between sets.

In addition to that, you get to use a powerful concept of "super-setting" your exercises. This just means doing two exercises right after each other with little break. In a commercial gym, you simply can't reserve two stations for yourself so that you can do this.

You will manage to get more done in an hour than you could get done in 2 hours in a normal gym.

Specialised Equipment

I don’t need to have duplicates of all the common equipment like a regular gym does. So I have space for specialised equipment a normal gym doesn’t have. This will make your trainings more effective and varied. Gyms tend to have only very common equipment that everyone knows how to use so that they don't need to employ people to explain how it works.

Equipment like:

  • A safety squat bar (SSB) for people with limited mobility or a shoulder injury.

  • A hex bar for clients who are just learning how to deadlift, or just to add variety into training.

  • A 'Uni' Bar which allows you to bench press or shoulder press with a more neutral shoulder position. Almost everyone with shoulder issues can bench press using it.

  • The Assault Bike/Echo Bike. This is nothing like the cardio machines at regular gyms where you can catch up on Netflix whilst training. 4 minutes on the Echo bike and you will have your cardio done for the day.

  • And more.

The standard implements like a straight barbell are great and have their place however most people will find the alternatives more comfortable most of the time.
